Pre SFS Drinks in Melbourne this Saturday night?

I am arranging to meet a UK visitor who has flown down for Small Ford Sunday, this Saturday night in Melbourne.  He is an Escort fan having exported a 4 door RS2000 a few years ago.  Is anyone interested in joining in a few friendly pints and maybe a meal in the CBD?  630PM Spencer Street, ring me if you want to come along JR 0409 091 252

Capri lost in WA bushfires

Could clearly see a burnt out Mk1 Capri on the news last night. It was just a fleeting glimpse, so I couldn't tell whether it had been a complete car before the fire. If it belonged to a member here, then you have my condolences.

Classic Adelaide 2015

a few photos from stage 3 on Friday from the front of my house, it would be a shame not to post them. unfortunately i missed the RS200 cos was too excited to get a non blurry photo.
the Audi quattro i had to throw in even though it isn't an escort, it sounded unreal at full noise. awesome car...

Capri V8 trans am movie scene

For the Capri lovers out there check out an NZ movie called SHAKER RUN its a car chase movie from the early eighties. If you go on YouTube theres an eight minute chase scene between a trans am(star of the movie) and the bad guy who flogs a V8 trans am race Capri and chases them through some hills the sound of the v8 is awesome
Maybe someone can move the clip from YouTube to here, I'm computer illiterate I'm afraid so I cant

Weber Sidedraught 45's vs downdraught IDF 44's

I would be interested in what people's opinion is on the better application for warm Pinto..
Twin down or twin side?
I know the IDF 44's were standard equipment on European RS 2000's, but I've only ever had experience with twin sidedraught 45mm Dellortos.

I am considering either even IDF 48's.
