Hiya all.
I'm at the stage of fitting the bubble arches to my Mk1 Escort and in order to fit and modify them so that they clear the wheels without fouling I need to purchase my rims and tyres.
The rim/tyre combination I am after is exactly what can be seen in the photos below. I took the photos of this beautiful Mk1 Escort at Small Ford Sunday in 2023 but I didn't take note of the rim size or tyre size.
If anyone knows the owner of this beauty could you please ask them for some information on my behalf. What I would like to know is what brand of rims they are, the diameter, width and offset of the rims as well as the tire size.
If someone could assist me in finding out this information I would very much appreciative it. Alternatively, it would be a big help if I could talk to the owner. If that is possible please have him contact my email address which is paul at software4u dot net dot au.
Thanks.

I’m still searching for a new project , for dad to help build. Advertised on line was a capri 10/72
Being sold here in Canberra.
Less than 200 metres away from where he works.
Of the one being advertise there was actually three of them
After dad looked at the one I wanted because of the red interior
He said no.
Reason was he can’t weld for ****
Those in the know should probably get down to Canberra
Buy unseen not advised

Hi all,
I'm beginning the process of restoring my Mk1 Escort & I plan on making modifications that will require engineering for road use. I've searched through threads as best as I can and have had no luck finding other forum members asking the same question.
I'm interested in any recommendations or experiences that people have had with VASS engineers in Victoria.
Hopefully by the end of this discussion we will have a list of engineers that all of us could consider.
Thanks.

Hi team
Pirelli have just made a fresh batch of the 175/70R13 Cinturato CN36 which is the best low profile tyre for loads of classic Ford. Specially Escorts
https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/175-70vr13-pirelli-cinturato-cn36.htmlWe do have the 155R13 Pirelli Cinturato CA67 that was fitted to the road cars as standard. and yes as a road tyre that proper period carcass of the Cinturato in the 155R13 size makes it the nicest tyre for road use. However if it something a bit more sporting you are looking for then the 175/70R13 CN36 will give you more grip while at the same time handling nicely as well.
On your classic Ford the CN36 will handle muich better than a modern tyre carcass.

Hello all, not sure if anyone is into the Hotweels cars. I usually have a look at the rack when I'm in my local parts shop, I can see how people get into them but I have to limit myself to just the Small Fords, Escorts, Sierra's etc.
Anyway... theres a new Escort out, a green RS2000. Lime green is the common one which I picked up today but theres also a Super treasure hunt one in Metallic green.
For $2.50 they're a bit of fun and worth keeping an eye out for.

Guys & girls
My sister has a harly Davidson 2022 mineral green metallic breakout
Motorcycle.
It was a gift or so inheritance to my nephew whose now 4 years old.
As much as he loves climbing all over it, and hides when it’s started.
It’s been agreed by all,
Looking to trade it in or swap to the same value.
Ideally looking for a Capri v6 gt project.
May consider another early model Ford
Thanks
Not sure even permitted to do this on this forum let me know if to remove it thanks
