Std 2lt Pinto Head Combustion chamber CC

Hi,

Does anyone have a reliable CC measurement for a stock 2lt cylinder head combustion chamber assuming virgin with no skimming/resurfacing?

Thanks,
Rhys

The low km heads I have worked on in the early '80's with little wear and standard valves and no resurfacing average 47.3cc.
Allow a small variation between each combustion chamber on a particular head; and also variations between heads.

If you are cc'ing the entire system:
    Ring Landing: 1cc
    Felpro Gasket (1.5mm thick, 92.5mm diameter): 10.1cc
Deck to Piston at top of stroke (0.6mm): 3.9cc

Everything I've read states that Felpro head gaskets are actually 1.0 mm compressed.  I mention this because 0.5mm can make a big difference to the final compression ratio.

Hi Flighter, yes that would about right as its looks to be about 1.3 uncompressed.

My head comes in at 40ccs. Had to have pistons dished and will run a thicker Cometic h/gasket to get comp ratio back to 9:1

    You are correct.
I rechecked my old notes and measured a used 2 litre gasket (not Felpro) across the fire ring came up at 1.1mm thick.
    Apologies for my silliness.
