Recent purchase

Guys ,not a ford but I have always fancied restoring one of these cars .
Picked this up last week in running order but looking tired .
One to park up and get to in time.
The V8 seems in good order and body is very good so do I keep it original or modify it ?

NZ classic fords

Hi All,
Heading across the ditch to NZ for a weeks holiday in mid June, anybody know of any classic Ford/ Escort activity going on at that time - will be in Wellington and Nelson areas.  Apparently there is good classic car museum around Nelson somewhere. Len

Small Ford Sunday

I got a chance to visit this year, wow what a turn out.

Has anybody got a link to any websites that have upload photos yet.

I did see a unique light blue auto Mk1 GT V6 which had Air Con and Power Steering, thats the first time I have seen both on a Mk1 V6 Capri.

It’s a forum to have fun.

Seems to be a lot of negativity creeping in to this forum over the past few months. I think we all need to remember why it’s here.
The forum is here for all of us to learn from each other. Ask questions and get a difference in point of view.
If cars were do clear cut we would not need the forum in the first place.
For me it’s getting ruined by it, and I like information without the BS. Sorry but Admin needs to to address this before it gets out of hand as do many other forums do. Only my 2c but I only visit for fun and info. Keith

People abusing Historic & Trade Plates

OK time to let off a little steam, how come some of the sh** boxes getting around on Club Plates get away with it.

I am sure some people join a club just to get their piece of sh** on a club plate.

Don't get me started on trade plates, I understand the majority of people do the right thing but how do people get away with driving unroadworthy cars on trade plates or a permit!

I have seen a certain Capri from this forum on trade plates and I am sure the owner knows better and I would say that his car wouldn't pass a genuine roadworthy by a qualified inspector.

Anyway thats my rant and I feel better for it and hope that I don't offend 90% of the people doing the right thing.

Phillip Island Races

Any Melbourne members going to Phillip Island Races 9-10 March?  My brother has entered his GT 40 so looking to make the trip down there. I believe the Capri boys go there . Thought that I might catch up and say hello to any forum members that might be there. Cheers, Len

forums seem a bit quiet, so what else are you into?

Well at least the Escort and Capri pages seem a little quiet ATM.
Either everone''s out in the shed, or watching First Dates?

So what else do you do apart from playing cars?
For me, apart from work/kids/house etc, it's sailing.

I have also made a couple model r/c yachts:
