Hi all
have been made aware of a 1100 or 1300 complete engine left out in the weather on its side with no rain water getting inside engine. Rust has ruined Carby and Linkages. Condition of engine unknown. No sign of external damage like rod thru block!
Still has its FW and Clutch, Carby, Manifold, W/pump, Rocker cover and Sump secured.
Question is; are these engines worth saving or selling or straight to simsmetal ?
Cheers
Bernie

Hi Guys ............. anyone for a little trivia ???
Couldn't believe it when I saw it ! ..... has anybody noticed a piece of carelessness or maybe laziness when this Factory Book was produced ?
This 1970 CAPRI GT3000 Book is dedicated to V6 yet in the most obvious spot, there's a
V4 Engine on display instead !
Has anybody spotted it ? (Took me 7 years to spot it !)
First one who spots it and reports its location here on Forum, gets a Brand New set of complimentary Ventilated Points (S83V) suits Capri 3L 1970-1975 inc RS3000 and TC Cortina 2L Pinto (may have non-vented if preferred) inc Post Aust wide.
Just For Fun ! ........... and a new set of Points ! ..... (happy to send different Points subject to me having them)!

Hi Fellas,
Is this how you guys do replacement patches in bodyworK?
I found this guy Fitzy online, and he makes it look so logical and easy, with less chance of warping panels.
Rather than cutting out the and then trying to make a corresponding size insert patch, he does a rough cut, tacks the larger repair panel over the top, then recuts through both, retacking as you go.
It seems part of the trick is to do the cut angled slightly, which further helps to make for a tight and uniform weld gap.
Anyhow, if you watch the vid you'll see what I mean.
No need for cleko's anymore?
I wish I'd seen this years ago.
Any other tips to share around?

Hi Guys,
as above, I'm interested to see if anyone has a Mk2 escort van available, ideally something like a 1980 2ltr.
I am contemplating the possibility of changing over to a van, rather than begin a respray on my 2L 4 door.
I figure it would mean I dont dirty up the missus wagon as much, and might be more practical.
Would consider an exchange/part exchange if this suits. I might also sell the Escort first outright, but thought i'd put this out there first.
Bodywork isnt as important, but would hope that it was relatively complete an running, rather than a total basketcase.
I am in Geelong
many thanks
