4 speed gearbox refill plug size

Dumb question Wednesday, but does anyone know offhand what your meant to use to undo the gearbox drain plug with?

I have changed the gear oil as per the other gearbox thread, but upon refitting it have lost a bit through the tailshaft seal.
With the manual bodyshell, there's buggerall room around the plug, can't even fit an alley key in.

I know it's a square head, and should be metric, tried a bolt head but no luck, and bigger than 10mm?

fun and games.

Thanks Whooligan, just what I needed to know.

I wasn't sure if i'd have to get a 1/2' to 3/4" adapter, and hadn't had a chance to get back out and check it further.

I've always used a 3/8 socket wrench for my Mk2's.
Maybe there are variations in size.
