2.0L PINTO EXHAUSTS - I'M CONFUSED

Hi Guys, Help needed Re: the above, thousands of SOHC Pinto's must have been produced, did they all come with extractor exhausts fitted, has there been a vehicle produced without extractors. I'm after a cast (iron) exhaust, or did they never exist,??

Thanks Geoff

As far as I'm aware they never had extractors from factory. We've all swapped them out over the yrs for better performance.
I have a cast iron manifold on my pinto van I'm willing to exchange + cash for extractors .
    Cheers

The reason it is hard to find a factory exhaust manifold is most of them cracked and it was easier and far cheaper to replace them with a cheap set of extractors than a new manifold from Ford.  This is why you see so many GL's and Ghia's that are completely standard other than the pipes.  It wasnt just for performance, the factory manifolds were rubbish

    Make it go FASTER!

Thanks Gdub, i'll leave my WTB, and see what turns up, i was taught different ways to weld cast iron as an apprentice by the company engineer Charlie Beavis, in the late 50's, he drove a delage' … now that was a car to lust after,!!
i ended up driving a 2 door 38 morris 8/40 sedan, often with my double bass beside me, 12 months or so later i got my licence, which took away some of the excitement of driving, all done on 3 quid a week, the company used heaps of unmethylated solvent that my friendly storeman, drank with lemon cordial, not to my taste i was a fanta lover, frank the storeman, got me a 4 gln drum of solvent with oil added weekly, it kept my wheel turning.
Sorry, i must stop this rambling on, cheers
