Eskypassa SR20 MK2 2Door

So here it is, my new MK2. 6 years since my last Mk2 and this time i looked for something bit different to the norm Mk2. I gambled on a running car without the engineer permits for all the mods done.

So i bought this MK2 with SR20DET. I'm currently learning lots about the car as i go through the process of getting engineer approvals then onto the pits for rego. What i do know is S13 engine with cam, injector, S15 turbo niztune chipped ecu and 3 inch stainless exhaust all  for about 190kw. Sitting on lowered suspension with Falcon Diff and brakes and 16 inch rims. Inside is mostly new but keeping to the escort style.

Car is progressing along. Have finished at the engineer (Southam Automotive Engineering) Had to take car for a 5 gas emmision test (Thanks to Danny at Garage 101), Also had engineer do the Noise and brake test, Only just passed the Noise test as only 1 muffler and Cat. The fuel tank is custom and not stamped so engineer pressure tested and gave it stamp as proof of testing. Overall went well at engineer he was happy with the work that was done on the car, which is relive as i didn't build the car.
Couple of small issues (oil leaks), Pedal rubbers to be sorted before taking to the pits. Fingers crossed they wont be pricks on the day. Not sure what they'll say to the pod filter in wheel arch,

Looks very neat. Really like the colour and wheels too!
Air filter is going to get slammed with crud.. maybe fold some aluminium and create a half sort of box around to protect it a bit more?

Yes i've been trying to think of an easy way to make a cover for it, so at the moment it only for sunny days and clean roads.

Nice looking Mk2, engine looks right at home.
Did it pass the emmissions test with the Niztune chipped ecu?

I'm still waiting on the dept transport to get back to me, The machanic said very close for a 92 and fail for 96. the engineer said she'll be right mate we'll just send it in. So fingers crossed the Dept is as relaxed. The results where idle/300RPM, O2 0.69/1.26,  CO2 13.4/13.0,  HC 246/164,  CO 0.97/164,  Lambda 0.996/1.016,  NOx 83/75

yea that too but I mean the actual CO reading @ 3000rpm must be a typo. just can't be 164%

    Nice buy!

Yeah, definitely be careful with that filter in the guard. I nearly had a catastrphic incident with mine at the start of last year when I got stuck in a deluge heading up the western freeway in bris.

    Cheers,
