Pinto Rebuild in Sydney

Hi folks just got my first mk2 escort and to be quite honest i am not very mechanically minded, so all engine work i will have to get a professional, i have a 2litre pinto that at the moment is not in good order, does anyone know of any performane builders here in sydney preferably in the western or south western suburbs, who could help with a rebuild, Cheers
Jack

Some hot Pintos are about for sale.
Sometimes it's cheaper to just replace it. I have had a few wins with $400 long engines from the wreakers.

Would it be an option to give it a go rebuilding it yourself?

There are loads of good books around to help guide you through the process, and it would keep costs down a bit.

I have one of the gregory's manuals which is great, and also the haynes manual.

Do you have a budget in mind? Are you going for just a freshen up, or are you after something with high performance?
