I've been a member of Classic Ford for years and a subscribing member too. I'm sick to death of the crap comments and posts that go on.

If you want to promote your mates or your own business why  not subscribe like Smcka and let the dollars and service do the talking rather than your posts.

Your posts are doing serious damage to any credibility that relate to you, yourself or any business related to you.

Take your bat and ball and .... off if your not happy with the situation. We were all happy like minded people before this began.

Keep it to a general forum content and we will all be happy campers. Let the business owners take care of themselves. We will shop will whom chose.

End Rant.....................

If you have the time to research, it's ALWAYS cheaper to buy direct from the UK.

If you need something in a hurry or couldn't be bothered exploring the options, you get it locally.

Pretty simple really.

Guys, from reading the original post it appears to me that Mickas was simply sharing a satisfactory purchasing experience that he felt might assist others on this forum, in terms of cash saving, quality of goods and after sales service. I understood that was normal practice and the right thing to do (help others). It is not unusual and perfectly normal business sense to ask for a discount especially when spending a large amount of hard earned cash, it assists to free up cash on a rebuild in other ways. I don't believe Mickas has any financial interest in Retroford other than trying to help others and for this he has been savaged which seems very unfair to me.
It appears to some that from the attack on Mickas and the way he has been wrongly singled out that unless a Forum member buys goods from one source and that source only no one else is allowed to offer (not promote) an alternative.

Very disappointing guys.

Guys, the only thing that never has and never will be tolerated is uncalled for badmouthing of other businesses or people in order for you guys to promote your own business or products. You have both been guilty or this previously. It has nothing to do with anything other than that. It appears you need to tell yourselves differently to get past this fact. Mickas has also been known to in the past, and in this thread jump on the band wagon. This thread is not the first time he has been pulled up, hence why a very clear directive has been given on how it will be going forward.

Due to this very ongoing issue the forum rules have been updated and will be adhered too.

Simply, play nice and you will not hear from or see us resolving these issues. It is very clear that this badmouthing behaviour is not welcome here. Let your good reputation grow your business, dont let bad mouthing others ruin your reputation.

From what I can see Mickas started by sharing an experience he thought might help others on this forum. He was not promoting anything other than that either for himself retroford or anyone else for that matter .maybe I read it wrong but I don't think so. Others immediately jumped in defense of another business. So much for fair play . Mickas was quite upset at this attitude and quite so he should be . For trying to assist others he has been savaged, maligned and even threatened with court action. It's a Sunday pull your heads in place with your classic cars or your families and wise up

I can't belive this is still going on.  Surely if we all put this much effort into our cars we would all have concourse quality cars!!
