2ltr input spigot bearing,

ive just bought a 2ltr, that had a supra 5 speed behind it, and the spigot bearing hole, is too small to fit the escort input shaft into, and i dont think theres a bearing in there at all?

how should i go about this? it wont let my input shaft go in ( at all) so i cant put it with the gearbox and into the car.

all advice appreciated!

Are you sure the bronze bush that the supra boxes use in the end of the crank instead of a spigot bush is not still in the end of the crank, that is the only thing that could make this happen,i'm more than positive that has to be it because there couldn't be anything else.

    Sterling,

If you get the bronze bush out, dont throw it away

Someone might need it as a spare

yeah i was told that too late, i damaged it beyond use when i removed it

    [V]

but yeah, got it out. and put the old spigot bearing in place.

i removed the old bearing but using grease, a spare input shaft, and a hammer! works well!
