leafs are made by king springs. they have a anti rebound half leaf. when run with good shocks and bushes they are supposed to be very good at eliminating tramp. i guess ill find out soon though.

im just building it the way ive always wanted to build an esky.  but ill probably run some IP rounds. (ill have to change a few things for that . like id have to get rid of the compression struts and adj control arms. but as a whole it should fit into IP regs pretty well)

If you ever consider another user name, I think 'escort mad' would suit well

haha well you've gotta have a passion.
that user name came from when i raced dirt karts years ago. i was number 10. (incidentally i also got 10th at the aus titles one year. so it worked well)

Wow, that's a great placing. And now your green machine will take racing to the next level! That's some good info. For a long time I thought krt10 meant Kurt low hahaha. I've spent too much time deciphering personalised plates

Great to hear Scott. You must be wrapped with how everything's coming along.

thanks guys.
got a new shipment of parts the other day

wiring is getting closer to being complete. did a bit more work, all the auxiliary's work now (ie, lights, fans, fuel pump) it also cranks over :)
i also started playing around with the throttle linkages and fuel lines. here is what i have so far

still need to run the fuel line to the pump and tank. also next on the list for electrical is getting the ignition sorted.
still lots to do

cheers

engine bay is 95% done. still a few more jobs to do like neatening up the wiring, running rad hoses, ect. but its getting close now.

also finally got the guage panel made. i think it looks pretty good.

ive run the fuel line now too and have orded a fire bomb.
its getting very close now. 7 days till the deadline i set myself to get it started. then itll go off to the dyno to get run in/tuned.

cheers

well it  runs!!!!!

got the motor fired up on monday night, now it needs to be run in on the dyno. getting everything sorted for a dyno session on monday (hopefully, circumstances permitting)

after having a car burn down on me a fire bomb was a must. i fitted that today and plumed it up. still need to fit the pull cords

the windscreen and quater windows are now fitted and i fitted the bonnet today

wiring for the guages is now complete. the dash turned out well in my opinion.

cheers

was meant to get tuned today but had some clutch dramas. so after some cursing and getting ****ty (by me) the box came out and the issue was sorted. so now she moves under her own power for the first time. too bad i now cant get a tune for another couple of weeks.

while it was properly out of the shed for the first time in a few years i took some pics

defiantly cant wait to get it running properly and take it for a thrash

cheers
