Gave the bodywork a break this week, done some 'grafting' .. I thought this little conversion would be easy, it is... once you know how !! I started off with a Spare Escort mk1 metal dash panel ive had stored for just such a time.. I bought these little clamps to hold the part in place while welding, brilliant tool to have, i think they were $45 for 4x clamps from uk.

Finally it is welded in place, i just need to make a support for the steering column like on std mk1 Escorts. I will be fitting a double dash pad with a 70mm cut thru the middle so it fits goodly, pics up next week.

Hi Immuel, the gear knob was bought from a UK ebay shop a while ago and unsure if he's still selling them, he was doing them for Capri, Cortina and Escort at that time too..
