I used a pr of escort tall Weld in turrets and trimmed them them back to suit the inner arch. I think the shocks i bought are way too hard for the car so they'll be swapped for regular shocks.

Thanks Rhys , I Thort this thread was lost when the forum went and updated it's system.
Honestly i only stuck the panels on and some glass and has sat like that since... After 4yrs of continuous welding on the same car yu get tired of seeing it , so i moved on to the mk1 RAA van. I'll get back on it at some time..

Hi Dave , the last I've heard is the biggest motor allowed in a 105e is a 1600cc so I'm going from that info lol. If you plan on a fiesta motor like mine you will need all the sensors and ecu from that vehicle....I'm running mine on lpg which deletes the need for factory ecu , just a Megajolt lj ignition kit for sparks. I am planning a turbo for it later but don't tell anyone ,ha !

Hi Marty, any idea what will be required for rego in SA with regard to the Duratec.

I'm thinking of doing a similar swap to my 105E sedan as I have a 2011 Fiesta I drive every day and am liking the engine more each day.

Great work so far too. I have read the whole thread a couple of times over :)

Hi Matt, i recently picked up another Duratec 1600 for $350(31k kms) from a 2011 Fiesta, dang thing has dual vct , totally different to my older(2005) Duratec 1600 (Formula Ford Racing) . The new motor is complete with everything i need inc starter motor as the older motor was incomplete with most of the front bits missing, oil pump, cam belt tensioners etc. it will be used as a dummy fit up...

I was told it was a miss tint from Protec Paints for a Golf GTi , at $120 4ltr 2pk is good value !

Finally on the ground i can start getting on with the rebuild, 1st the front end..
Front Escort Xmember modded to work in Anglia

Remember those struts i built early on in the blog, here they are with calipers etc

These wheels are not staying, though they look the nuts on here !!

Thats it, bang up to date as of last nite !
