Hi Tufbox, all i have done lately is install the escort front swaybar bkts which involved cutting open the chassis and welding in crush tubes. I been more active on the orange mk1 Escort this week, we have a Ford show in March and am trying to get it ready

Its Anglia time again!!
here is what i did today on the car, 1st time in months i'd been near it so pulled the grinder out and got swinging!!
I removed a piece of the top bulkhead and slid it back 65mm, next will be moving the tunnel/bulkhead back to match up

I spent a few hrs on the car after work, i made pieces to fill gaps when the bulkhead was moved back to accept the top piece.

I have thie engine bay in primer now and the mods look hardly noticable !

Nice work Marty. I'm in the process of doing something similar with my Mk1 Escort, but the heater bubble makes it tricky to retain that 'factory' look. You've done well.

Thanks lads
This is what i did this arvo, got the welds linished back and a light skim of filler to blend everything together, as Anglia4 says, like i was never there! Even my neighbour had a look and was impressed at what i done in a few days !!
The colour is only white 2pk undercoat not the final colour..which is still undecided.
