Sorry, may have got wires crossed, I am talking about the Anglia opposite the Playford Council depot,(Bishopstone Road, I think??) green one surrounded by an XB ute and a couple of Holdens under a big tree!!!![:x)]

marty if you can afford it these guys would be the way to go for getting replacement panels
http://www.steelpanels.co.uk/index.html
theyre not badly priced but its the freight that would make it expensive.

she looks to be in pretty good nick still, fair bit of rot in the boot and floors though

Thanks for the link Anglia4 i'll keep it handy
Here is an update of my progress until the mig gas expired, refilling in the morning....why does Argoshield bottles always run out after 5.30pm??
Just checking how the 13x7in Revolution 4 Spokes will sit..

i was going to mount the 'spit' at the rear bumper mounts..as there was nothing left to mount to, the next spot is the shocker mountings. Half way thru welding i ran out of gas[B)]!

Some proper rust here !!

I hope to have the car spinning over on the rotissery by Sunday.

Funny you should ask... it used to be an Escort front jig before i widened it 2in! , the rear will need making up, this took me 6hrs to measure, cut, weld...got sunburnt from the intense welding UV's to prove it [B)]
Ive been busy doing some seam welding today[:x)]

Some rust repair sections to do then??[:0]

I also get a little scared when seeing a car after blasting or dipping. Makes me wonder how many cars that haven't been done are being driven around by their owners blissy unaware that the strutural sections probably have more holes than swiss cheese.

Keep the pics coming marty... Will be good to see something progress from this state to your quality finished product.

Yeah like some stories from UK about driving a 'restorers delight' home only to have the snow being flicked up from the front wheel and soaking the legs of the passenger, or having the strut top collapse on the motorway ending the drive home facing the wrong way in a 2ft deep stream!!
i should have some more seaming done tomoro, once thats done i'll start on the repairs/mods as i go.

I made up a couple of gussets today, similar to the Escort GP4 mods, cut, folded and welded in place in 90mins!!

Tomorrow i'll have a shot at making a strut brace mount and remove rustys from the front lower radiator support

Thankyou Phil
yesterday i removed the lower radiator support panel, what was behind was not bad...just looks scary!

i removed any unwanted bkts and filled up the holes not needed...which was all of them !

also removed was the swaybar bkt mountings, i have decided to fit an Escort swaybar so i will be modding the chassis slightly to fit Escort mk1 bkts, might even go a anti-dive setup yet

today i welded in a new lower panel and did some mods to the grill opening, pics up tomorrow .
