Just a few more things i bought the other week

A bit early for buying a gear knob but at $45 from uk its worth it !

Brake pipe is copper/nickel widely used overseas, male and female brake line connectors, new..enough for 4x cars here !

Geniune Revolution caps for my Revolution 4 spokes

7x13 rally wheels, i'm going for the retro look

I also bought a mk2 Escort drop tank from Shane(Red Pepper) which will find its way onto the little Anglia.

anglia 105e came out with the English axle only, same as your mk2 Escort with the only difference being width and ratio's.
I paid $800 for the LSD as it is 2nd hand, might have been less. The Quaife in my mk1 cost me $985 new tho it was almost 2yrs ago, then there's $100 for brgs, crush tube & seal! if you dont know how to set them up it will cost more for installing the unit!

Well, now that the Dat1600 is all painted i shall be getting back on to the Anglebox in a coupla weeks
Thort i'd show a few pics of the Datsun which took 3months to get from a grit-blast rust bucket to a shiny 2pk green(Poison Ivy, GMH)with Escort Twin-cam arches fitted front & rear

thanks for those kind words guys
The orange on my Mexico is Focus Electric Orange XR5(ST225), it will need a orange base coat to bring out the colour, would look killer on a Anglebox
Hak073, the main reason for the Twink flares is the Dattun had severe corrosion about the rears, we couldnt find anything new to use so i welded new steel in lipped it out and glued the arches on, then stuck fronts in the same way to match.

Did someone mention an orange mex[:p]

You were quick on poison ivy colour as it hasnt been out long. It was only a little while ago i was driving the Poison Ivy VE evaluation car. Glad you chose a ford colour for your ford!

Nigel,
It was about 4wks ago that i got a 1ltr pot of Poison Ivy for the underneath the paint man told me it was still under prototype, when i got the 4ltrs it was in production...with different codes on the tin[:p], the inside is done in a Mazda6 Gunmetal Blue for a neutral interior effect!
About the Orange Mex, its under a car cover sleeping and not to disturb till ready, just to keep everyone hanging[88][88]

Thankyou Shane,, altho many have seen the orange beast and all have had the same reaction !!
Back to the Anglebox, i finally spent a day on the struts and they are built up ready for use..

The towers are from Compbrake in UK, the only place which i found to supply towers for Anglia(110mm) excellent quality with spacers ready to thread on...brilliant!

i purchased a set of Outlaw calipers, basically identical to Wilwood but a little cheaper.

Comparison next to a Wilwood..mounts, weight, pads, pistons all interchange....funny that !!

The Datsun will be out this wknd giving me space to motivate the Anglia again..
