Head thickness

Hi

Does anyone know what the standard thickness of the standard head is? I need to check how much has been skimmed off a head previously. Where would it be measured from

    They measure from where the cam cover lip is to the head face. So if you take it in to an engine and say you want 0.130th from 'stock' height they will check their book and deduct the difference from what its at now . Hope this helps. .someone will know the stock deck height ..
