RS2000 oil pressure line
Hi guys,
I have a RS2000 dash I will fit at some stage but I need the oil pressure line (inc block fittings) to match.
Anyone got one they don't need? I can get one on UK eBay but thought I'd check here first.
Cheers,
Matt

Any auto parts store will generally have them in stock. Sprints, Motor Mate, Super Cheap, Burtons etc. There is a plastic and brass line version available. I just bought a plastic line kit for $10.95 from sprints because it was cheaper to get the whole kit than the one fitting block I needed.

The problem with the off the shelf kit is that they fittings will not match the coarse thread on the back of the dash. In the past I have had a new line made up with original fittings at Pirtek (this is no longer, and caused a nice little engine bay fire on the dyno). I have also had a solid adapter pipe made up that comes off back of dash in the 90degree bend to the metric fittings to match off the shelf pipe kits. Rhys

The Capri gauge must have a different thread on the back then since the one I bought went straight onto it. 2lt_Scort

Hey Mate, All good so far. I have only started the car and had it running in the drive but it all works and no leaks thus far. Worst case it's good for the fittings and then you can just use your own lines. Cheers, Matt

thanks. will order one mine has started to balloon out and may be the cause of the oil. Seeing if I can use one of the remote oil lines they advertise for the subaru or toyota as well as I'd like to add an electric sender to log into my ecu as well and I read somewhere T pieces can occasionally break off.

Brass t fittings can break off, but a steel hydraulic pressure fitting won't. Bit pricey though - ryco, pirtek, duffield etc.
