Bolt for Oil Spray Bar on a Pinto 2.0

Hey Gang, I am just about to start working on my RS after having it parked in my shed for the past 20 years! I had the engine rebuilt about then, maybe 18 years ago and the guys never put the oil spray bar back on. I have a new one ready to go, but cant find any detail regardin bolts for the install. So.....
  • What size are they?
  • Do they use spring washers?
  • Do they use flat washers?
  • Are they high tensile?
  • Do they require locktite?
I realise they are simple question, but the thought of a bolt coming loose from such a simple component and destroying the cam/valve or what ever worries the hell out of me.
Thanks for any assistance.
btw, I've started a quick blog to try and capture some of the build HERE

Not sure about the bolts but another little trick before you put it on is to drill the holes out a bit to allow more oil to spray onto the cam and keep them from blocking up if your oil gets a bit thick or whatever

    just a suggestion

just be carefull with the middle bolt from memory if it's too long it can protrude into the oil gallery

Thanks or the tips guys, good points. I have it bolted up now but think the middle bolt may be too long after reading the above post. It was definitely longer than the outside ones. Might swap it out. So, Locktite? Can't do any harm I wouldn't think????
