oil presure problem

hi there everybody, i have just been trying to start up my rebuilt pinto engine. i have been trying to prime the motor and get the oil presure up before firing it. but i cant seem to get any . i took the rocker cover off to see if there was any oil flow over the cam and there was nothing there either. any help would be much appricated..... thanks

    how are you trying to prime it ?

    You will have to remove dizzy, put a long  ,cut down allen key down the oil pump drive and attach to drill.prime this way.if it still cant prime,off with sump as pick up or pump has problem

    i was just turning it over with the plugs out. so i tried blkmk1cossie's way and it worked great. thanks very much mate for the help. now to get the old girl running...cheers
