what type of cam is this??

what type of cam is this??

hi guys
i took apart my head after finding a blown head gasket.

i came accross the cam and realised that its not standard ford camshaft and has double valve springs.

the stamping on the cam reads:

UK
S-723
GC0916
K355-C

if anyone could help be figure out what cam this is that would be great.

    Hi Nardo

    Nothing conclusive but looking into the links below it may be a copy of another manufacturers camshaft produced by CAMTECH.

    Get your calipers out and measure the base circle vs. lobe height height difference. If it is the 723 grind listed above (and I would be surprised if it isnt) then 0.29" of lift over base circle would be 7.4mm

    And another check would be to set it up with a single valve and light spring (use one of the inners from the doubles), and use the dial gauge to work out the timing from when the valve cracks open and then closes. You'll need to mount a degree wheel on the front pulley somehow. 723 grind is 297-300 degrees (once again see table above).
