Cheers marty! ok my thinking is

Stock booster (although i think this is why it feels a bit dull), widen stock calipers with some vented rotors, keep rear drums.

Bias box, AP kit on the front and leave rear drums (this is what im favoring atm - keeping it somewhat simple and keeps my flashy side).

Bias box, AP kit front and skyline rear calipers on the back (remember i picked up a whole set up a while ago).

Although all this is making the car somewhat of a non sunday cruiser!

Well the landcruiser has been in the panel shop getting a new rear bumper - bit of an adjustment of me driving a large car compared to my previous 2 wheeled honda. In my defence we both reversed into each other so 50 50 blame.

That means ive been using the escort to drive to and from work which is nice but after all the rain in the last week ive noted from leaking from the front windscreen, it seems to slightly pool in this corner and then start leaking through and running down the dash. What are my options? slap some sika in there and hope it seals up or get the windscreen removed and put back in?

Unfortunately you know the answer to that one Robbie🙁
I just pulled the heater box out of the RS. Soldered the core up 10 years back when I started the build. I have a collection of the things.
So this time I bit the bullet and have ordered a repo from the UK. I am told they are good items. Certainly hope so for $270 landed.

Robbie you'll be surprised where the water gets in from, just cause it's pooling at the corner doesn't mean that's it's entry point.
Get to the auto shop of choice and buy windscreen sealer, do not ever use a drying silicon .
The leak will find the lowest point so it's best to seal the whole way around with a caulking gun lifting the rubber seal and applying plenty but not too much that it squeezes out everywhere messing up the car . The sealer will never set .

You might want to buy a cheap wifi back camera from ebuy or AliExpress, maybe even a beeper kit, great for those blind spots on the rig . Hope you get you cruiser back soon

Thanks guys, one of the guys in the escort club reached out and said he can remove and reinstall the screen for me. Might be the right approach. How does the sealer set marty? ive been doing some reading on sika windscreen sealer as i want to do a small job on the cruiser that will need it.

Would you believe it was going for a reverse camera install the next day, it was just one of those after work, running late to get somewhere just didnt look around. It did stuff all damage to the cruiser but her barina was dented in the rear pillar. I figured may as well replace the bar and keep it all neat and tidy.

The sealer doesn't set it just goes dry over 50yrs ! It's designed to stay pliable cause the screen and rubber actually move while your driving, next time you drive your escort reach out and rest your hand on the screen, seal, pillar and you'll understand why the sealer stays 'wet' . As said earlier, never silicone the seal in that's designed for gutters ! Anywho, your screen guy will fix it for you

Had the windscreen looked at today, Seems there was no sealer between the rubber and the glass. So they put some in for me. He said some people choose not to put a sealant in there but mostly on cars that never see rain. Ill need the car this week as the Landcruiser is off to set a nice buff and polish and its meant to get wet and wild weather wise.

Nothing else really to add for the escort - renewed historic rego and have just been driving it a bit.

Heres an old photo

Nice how someone wrote the models of what they are on each page too.
My neighbour died and his house was cleared out as a deceased estate.
It turns out that his father used to work at Fords (like everyone in Geelong at some point).

Buried amongst the junk tossed in the skip was some Ford marketing material.
I have a large Escort Van poster in the garage now.

The escort has to pay second to a bigger brother now.

Kinda came up at the right time, but needs alot of love.

See how she goes, fits the family in alot easier then the escort.
Not sure if i updated but have a second boy now!

talk about a while between posts, when you expand the family in between.
Congrats.

You should know more than many, that its safer for the kids to travel inside the cruiser, not strapped to the bb.
