Repro Decals arrived I fitted a few, still need to put one in the engine bay, just can’t remember where it goes, it’s either the heater bowl or inner guard

According to a Ford letter to the original owner of my car these stickers were to be posted after sale and affixed by the owners. Suggested positions were, owners handbook, engine compartment and side glass. Owners obviously had their own opinions as to where would be best and fitted them to air cleaner, up beside the I'd plate, left or right inner guards, maintenance booklet and drivers door latch panel. As ford only suggested THREE positions that indicates that only three were sent, two for the car and one for the booklet.

Cheers JR

can anyone tell me if the amount of oil needed after draining the sump on our 165HP Specials is exactly the same as
the Oval Port 144HP V6 ? (with or without filter)
(Still haven't found my Dipstick and Tube that my son reckons he knows nothing about !)

many thanks i/a

Can anyone advise if the rear qtr GT Badges were orange painted for the 11 Specials or was red and orange chosen subject to Body Colour ?
I want to buy new ones and red would "fight" with Wild Plum as on my "special", and orange is the better choice, but if red was mandated regardless of body colour, I'd have to buy red.

Guys, Does anyone know if Auto Sparks UK harnesses are any good? Their description of work carried out looks impressive. The main hassle I see is that you have to send over the 2 pairs of firewall/bulkhead round plugs as they cannot be replicated?
I have pretty much rebuilt my loom, removed the ballast wire, fitted a new ignition switch (Lucas one for a mini) which fits the Capri shroud, etc. Found a couple of wires where the insulation was a bit dubious so the new looks appealing (and expensive).

I bought one for the Silver Fox capri we will be doing next.  You get the entire wiring harness headlights to reverse lights with new switch plugs etc, however, you do not get the large body plugs (as they state) nor the fuse box or grey terminal holders from the fuse box.  Its a very good loom and will save you hours and a few visits from the auto electrician

Hey guy’s, very interesting thread!
I was told that my 72’ Gt3000 may be one of the BSS Special builds and I am hoping someone could assist me in confirming?
Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately, your Capri is NOT one of the listed 11 'Special 165HP' cars. Call Ford Australia to get full details of your Capri including the original dealers name. 13 FORD is the number to ring, quoting your CK17ME34039P Chassis prefix/Serial number.

Current ride:
'83 Mk.3 Capri, 2.8i, 5-spd
