your rims will be fine JR, its all in VSB14 section LS. Width wise the rear are not an issue. On the front 5.5in is fine, with correct offset will not rub on strut and will stay within guards. 6in rims would either rub the strut or the outer wall would sit outside of the guard lip depending on offset.

Great progress, paint looks good, love the colour would like to see it in the flesh. I think a black interior works best with a yellow body but I'm bias as thats what my RS is Keep the pics coming. Cheers Drew

Paint going on slowly but surely, apparently its a swine to get to cover, but if you use a solid orange base coat rather than grey its gets easier

looks great. Black interior would look pretty original, but I think white would take it up a notch (i'm biased too, with a white interior in mine) Its going to be another stunning car.

work has stalled on the Special as we are concentrating on the green MK2-which by the way is coming along very nicely. I did get the yellow fires radiator and master cylinder sorted, and got a 3.09 centre for the diff in case the one it was changed ( I assume it was due to its racing heritage)

That's pretty special I'm in the same boat. My 13yr old girl loved my Capris. She went this year to Capriciation 2019. She fell so much in love with them she made me give her one. She gets it as your girl at 16 but I won't let her take ownership or take it out alone until she's 21. She is happy with that. As for the motor have you checked the 11 specials post. Or Ron's small ford. They will give you your info. Need to add we both need to build it together so I'm buying parts. And will teach her what to do. Lucky me lol.

Ok some progress on the Yellow Fire, the diff was always going to have been modified, I was hoping to find an LSD however pulling it apart revealed some of CIG's finest work. So out it came and swapped over for a 3.09 regular diff centre. Underside also copped a clean up
