So the expressed valance was only the bottom section and you kept the original top section. That's a good idea if it's ok as when I spoke to them they said the newer top section didn't have the correct profile.

I got the "Skin Only" panel as it was a third the price of the full valance. Elliott did have an issue initially as the profile is Facelift not Pre-Facelift. He cut it and put a crease in the top which fitted in under the gap nicely. A great result, as this is an annoyingly hard panel to find in good nick. Nearly every capri I have had has had a bodged valance

Tell me about it. And I only just worked out their meant to deviate. Deviate at the bumper brackets as I always thought it was cause of damage. Ive straightened one but it was always a right off.

Latest update, the front valance has been squared up, the left front guard has now been spot welded into place. Elliott had to extend the rear edge to make a good shut line, and the edge at the scuttle lines up beautifully. We have found a slight bulge at the rear of the drivers side front where it joins the sill. Its a bit of a crap shoot as to whats under the lower join, hopfully nothing too bad. I have ordered a lower repair section just in case, as the lower edge will have to be cut off then assessed. Worst case it will need an inner sill repair then the repair section added in to ensure a good edge to weld onto. Fingers crossed its just poorly fitted....

Engine Bay has had some paint applied, the color seems to change depending on the light angle, I guess thats why its called Yellow Fire you definitely see a red glow in some light.

Rostyles back from the powdercoaters, blackouts done, look a treat, it will be a shame to see them no doubt swapped over for Minilites when its sold. Do you think that 205's will fit on these given they are 5.5"??

I love the rostyles. However i reckon they look much better on a mk1 escort. Large minilites look great on the capri and allow for bigger brakes. I also love the 15 inch rostyles from image wheels and am tempted to buy a set. The 205 will fit on the 5.5 rims but the sidewalls will come close to the strut. Its probably a case of fit it and see.

Yeah, they'll fit, and the sidewalls will bulge nicely - the complete opposite of the 'Souf London Look', which is a good thing in my opinion.

yep, you can keep sarf London, running 155's on a 7"' wide rim don't suit a Capri or escort. Match that with 45 or 50 series on a 13 "' and your sure to wreck a decent looking car. each to their own though as they say
