Spud, Wow that's good value ill take a look.  I got the two remaining wheels after forking over a left nut, I will nmost likely buy this one as a spare as the other 2 wheels are a quite rusty.

Glenn a good used panel came with the car so we are using that.  Since you bought your panel, Expressed have either changed hands or top management, and get to things a bit quicker now.  They even have a few items in stock - such as the valance skins.

next purchase is the lower rear quarter repair sections

A new hitch was the amount of rust in the rear quarter lower section behind the wheel arch.  The previous owner glassed the entire boot cavity, I assumed for the fuel and battery to stop accidental arching.  Anyway I bought the respective repair sections from Carl at SMACKA performance, these are Ex-Pressed units and Im very happy with them.  They are very comprehensive and include detail like the bung hole pressing, they are also very heavy gauge steel, which Elliot was very happy to see as it makes for easier welding.  I will have to do both sides, but the shape of the repair sections will save several hours of custom repair work and the end result will be so much better.  The rear beaver has been cleaned and prepped and fits in like a glove.  This is the beauty of having an un-smashed body.

I'd like a couple of those lower quarter repair sections myself. How much did they cost.

I think $220 each??  or thereabouts, dearer than Motomobil and Team Blitz, but a much larger section than you get from them - and thicker steel

There was a post on here somewhere with SMCKA's contact details a couple of days ago, maybe GTV6 can help.

I have copied SMCKA's contact details into the " handy links " post in the Escort General Discussion section, for future reference.  If you have contact details for good tradies, trimmers, parts people etc- This is the place to put them so we don't all have to rack our brains in future as well as promoting businesses who look after small ford owners.  Len

You bodywork looks really nice.

Those Ex-pressed panels seem to be well made, how do you find the fit?

Fit is very good, not a direct fit still a little bit of fettling but the large areas are uniformly smooth.  Ex-Pressed us a heavier gauge steel than the other parts available so the distortion once welded is less
