could not have said it better myself ............ you're 100% spot on in all you said !
Our Capris were assembled here in Australia, and have been raced by famous drivers all over Australia.
Let's not forget the XA was the first Australian designed Falcon; the XY to XK 'design" was basically USA and we altered a few things for Ozzie desired details, similar to the Capri was UK and came here in boxes CKD.
The latest Capri for sale, as Martymexico pointed out, is at a price about right IF it was a V6 and details correct.
Putting the rare GTHO PIII aside for a moment, it doesn't add up that on more than one occasion a basic XY GT 351 has sold for more than A HUNDRED TIMES its 1971 price, yet the GT V6 Capri with all its heritage and racing history and fame, tantamount to the XY GT, has not aspired to anything like the same financial ratio.
I for one would like to pass on my Capri GT V6 and the other "horses in my stables", to my sons when the day comes I can no longer drive, which I hope is decades away, so its value is of no consequence to me.
