He's got rid of most of them now, he had some real beauties genuine Mk1 Lotus Cortina, GT500 Cortina, Twin Cams, RS2000's, Sierras, the list goes on, he also had a few Aussie Fords, XC Cobra, John Goss hardtop, XW GT. We used to race against each other in the Appedix J class at Wanneroo Raceway. We were also both active members of the British Ford Owners' Club in Perth. Had a great time organising rallies etc. He still competes in the Targa West every year in a much modified RS2000.

I think if your car is close to original than its only fair to try and keep it that way.

This little comment has been playing on my mind for a while now and I have decided that since the hot orange is so close to original it deserves to be with someone that appreciates originality more than I do so its up for sale.  Not sure how I feel about it but the misses is happy to see the number of projects decrease.

Depends when it was made, pretty sure only the first 6 months or so of the 1970 has the 2 piece bonnet they also had 3000GT badge instead of 3000V6.

And as we no both posts could be correct. Built three months before and stored then sold with that months date.
Really it makes a great discussion as months in a year could coincide. What’s to say a 71 car had this bonnet from factory. The bonnet also has an extra metal support right where the air cleaner is.

Mine is 04/70 with bonnet vent, this one is 02/70 so most likely bonnet is not original.  44 bids to my 1, he's doing well.

Well mines for sale too. And I’m asking $38000. White V6 Auto marching numbers in Diamond White with Dark Red interior. I need the money to pay a few bills and look at finishing two other cars. It’s not Factory correct but it’s better. It’s in my view the way they should have looked if ford charged another 100 or so originally. Things such as same snake skin on seats are used in the door cards it looks so much better. Only just made this decision last week as some may know. Pm if anyone here is interested.
