If anyone noticed the grey primed Capri on EBay that just went off with sunroof in prestons NSW it didn't hit reserve for $12900 dollars. That is crazy for a non matching numbers V6 Auto that needs overhaul. Sorry I have no idea how to post EBay links unless someone can finally tell me how to do that.

it was for sale in WA a few months back - didn't sell, came up again and now has re-appeared here - doen look a bit gummy

I was interested with the sunroof. More problems than their worth. Asked for more detailed photos and never got any. The weird thing was the chassis number and engine number were off by just one number. Almost like the factory new they stuffed the motor and whacked the the next one in. Only the official paperwork from ford would tell us that and to me that would make it a very unique numbers matching car.

That certainly is not an original Perana Badge. That is a badge you can buy from eBay for Fifty bucks. If anyone is interested their should be a special tag under the back seat. It might be that as I would like to do take my original off for safe keeping or just a rip off. Be careful.

Out of interest, I calculated the gross value of that seller's ebay sales for the past year going by his ebay feedback records. Almost $45000.

At that turnover figure, I presume the seller is a registered business who also sells online (i.e. 21st century sales channels).

got the chrome plastic mouldings for my gutter rails a little while ago, good value for money. Got some reproduction chrome trim pieces for the doors but didn't last well. I think these guys have worked out a way to check old ford dealerships that close or ones in little outback towns to buy all their stock which they couldn't send back. These sorts of items are available to be bought from places like Thailand, who made parts for escorts etc. I tried to track some of these down because I used to holiday regularly in Thailand but couldn't make the right contacts.
