Oh and caravaning with a Capri is not a good idea.

Maybe not, but it has to be better than using a VW bug:

wow, amazing what you can do with just one rola roof rack.

I don't know what the capri's worth, but when I get to 70 and still cant retire, it's getting stripped down and sold as parts.Def worth more as bits if you believe ebay.

What are the headings for each of the columns Terry? I'm guessing from left to right will be described something like: 'Excellent', 'Good roadworthy example' and 'all there but needs work'.

You're not far wrong there:
The first column is 'Condition 1', the car is in very good condition throughout, a potential club/show car
The second column is 'Condition 2', the car is in good/average condition for its age, a potential daily driver, andThe third column is "Condition 3', the car is in poor condition, a good basis for restoration.

like I said, these are 'guestimates' from Just Cars, though probably based on sales that they are aware of through their business and trawling the internet for recent sales information.

Current ride:
'83 Mk.3 Capri, 2.8i, 5-spd

When the time comes to sell your 70's Collectible car, just remember you usually only have ONE for sale, it is rare and getting rarer everyday, original condition or fully restored.
If you're backed into a corner due to need for money, or room, or desire for a different car altogether, or lost the love for your car...........then you're forced to accept best offer.
But if not, ask yourself what will you pay for your next "heart-throb"? Research all sources and just see what a car in EXACTLY YOUR CARS CONDITION is going for; compare apples with apples. Is yours unmolested and still have ALL matching Numbers with orig engine ? If you can't get back what you put into your car, why sell ? Leave it on Gumtree till someone appreciates it and pays what you want, and keep it and drive it and enjoy driving something so exclusive.
These rare exclusive collectibles are like Houses; they increase in price over the years...........
Houses can be built by anyone............how the hell do you build a new 1972 car ?... or even REBUILD a 1972 car from a bare shell if you can't find a good restorable bare shell ? ...and if you do, how much longer will panels and mechanicals be available for, and at what price ?  The few shells or cars still left for sale aren't getting any younger. Enthusiasts in UK and similar countries that SALT their roads due to SNOW are buying OUR cars to take back to their country, because all of theirs have RUSTED themselves to oblivion !

Agree, tell the seller what his car is worth from these people and kick his tyre. See what happens then.

The white RS and the gold GTV6 come from the same collection in QLD.

Hi Matt

I would love to get it, but agree it's overpriced. Maybe 15k less and I'd have more interest. It's missing a few bits, but I have most of them.

The biggest issue is that this car (and others currently for sale) look exactly the same as cars owned by Jeff Bloom, but when the seller is asked about it he says they're not. I'm 99% sure they are. I've even had my Facebook posts asking this question deleted, and was banned from one page as well. Doesn't fill me with confidence.

Cheers
Jamie

Yes I agree 100% has JB written all the over it.When I went to his chicken shed a while ago he didn't want people taking photos , hence I don't have any real evidence. But being limited run car like RS and 15 min from the chicken shed that he has now been evicted from...Just saying.

Who's this Jeff Bloom bloke, and what's the story?

What an amazing collection.  Why would it be an issue if they are from his collection.  Unmolested cars that have been stored out of the rain.  I think that would be a good thing.
