Cheers for that. Door cards look fantastic. And look like the fine grain pattern. Would love to see pics now of the car. I for one know how much you've gone through for it. Capri ownership is not about the money but the love. The love of spending money for no return but the great feeling it gives. Unfortunate or fortunate it's really like expensive toilet paper compared to cheap stuff. Their both a waste but you enjoy one more. Enjoy it it's the best car toilet paper in the world. Subject to popular opinion of coarse and no disclaimer regarding that I'm biased towards Capris.

Thanks for posting that up - I've been curious about how Aldridge's trims look. Anyone ever seen the Mk2 Escort cards up close? I'm wondering how they do the curve at the top of the door.

they have come up great. We are all envious.
I'm sure if I put them in my car though, it would make something else look really crap.

Hey, patina is making a comeback right?

cheers boys

forgot to check that when i get home ill have a gander at it and let you know

you know the sad thing about all this is we had to go overseas to get trims at a reasonable price and time frame

had pro stich lifted there game they would of had quite a lot of us ordering from there shop..and future capri builders as well
but hey there loss is our gain and saving almost 500-600  done within 3 weeks  is a big deal when it comes to resto  jobs every cent counts

Hi Guys,
I assume, right or wrong, those of you contemplating NEW doorcards from various sources either have originals missing altogether, or damaged beyond all help ?
All my 4 door cards are un-damaged on the finished surface, and was wondering ......how hard can it be to trace my old warped card "inner support"  onto new thin marine ply, cut it out, and fit original "skin" plus new fixings ?
.........and save around $1000 !
Those lucky enough to be "handy", & have a spare set, & some patience..... could at least give it a go maybe ? ... The joy of being able to say.... "I did that" is also worth considering.
cheers, Bernie

mine were not that bad on the trim but the backing was pretty much warped could of wet it again and placed a board on top to let it dry flat
the only thing tho was i was replacing new seat trim and it wouldnt of looked that good with the old door cards
so for 750 delivered to my door wasnt  a bas price and makes a world of difference to the look of the car

did all the other repairs myself panels rust etc  and thought id buy the trim  save me a bit of time doing it ,,

also thought by the time i do it maybe 2 or 4 times and get it right or maybe make it worse would be easier just to let a trimmer do it and have it right the first time

i guess some will have a go  at it but in my case it was easier tobuy from the uk at that price ..
