Capri Mk1 Door Card set anyone
MK1 Capri Door Card set anyone?? Ok I found a supplier for the Mk1 Capri door trims and rear trims. (I know we have Pro-Stitch here but they are $1100 and 3 to 6 month wait). This UK firm can land them in Melbourne for $999. Is anyone interested in a full set as I want to go ahead, and the landed price is no different for multiple sets

Interesting, was that a set of 4 cards or just the fronts? Could be that a bigger quantity like I got a quote on makes the freight difficult and you have to pay accordingly (250 pounds just freight)

$800 for a Facelift (RS GXL) set. Interesting I would not have thought they would tool up for those. $1025 for regular MK1, suddenly its not worth importing unless there is a crazy long wait for Prostitch

motomobil also have them and from the photos it looks like Aldridge supply them but they might be an option depending on exchange rates. I had mine done by dash original. Nice job but it took them over 12 months to do them, I had to post the tops and rear cards to them, and they came back with inner window seals missing. It would have been cheaper and quicker to import them.

Wow 12 months from Dash Originals, 9 - 12 months from Prostitch. I have managed to negotiate a discount with Aldridge and found cheaper freight. I can land a set of 4 panels for $849 and shipping time is 5 days. Just waiting to hear their lead time. Motomobil are dearer as they use Euro, and hopeless frieght with DHL (would cost about 1200 - 1300 with them and take 6 weeks in transit)

yep its hard to support local business with times like that. I don't know about transport but at the moment the euro is cheaper than the pound. 1GPB=$1.70 1EURO=$1.50

Seriously how can a set of door cards take 9-12 months to be made. They must store jobs up until they get a few orders and do them all at once. With the ones from Aldridge can you specify different colours?

Aldridge have a lot of colours, as there was a much bigger range in the UK (red maroon blue green tan) the grain may not be the same as ours though a bit like the dash doctor reskinned dashboards as opposed to the wide grain we had

I'll be after a set also, and would be happy to be part of a group buy.
