Q window rubbers are same as on mk1 escort coupe and they aren't handed. .. left will fit right and vice versa. I might have a pr spare in Ok nik. Bumperettes Are hard to get , way harder if you want chrome rear ones . I can make front mk2 quarter bumpers(Mexico//RS1800 ) and rear van ( front mk1 escort gt/rs) in Fibreglass if you want non steel replica ones .

In WA. Let me try and find them over the weekend to see what sort of shape they are in. I've got two Escorts in various states of dis-repair, so it's a jungle in there.

Hi Cosmic, Reference your door trims- I have attached a Pic of the bare door cards for a Mk 2 2 door that I bought, are the doors on a panel van the same as that ? or are they the same as the 4 door ones? I am pretty sure this company produces ones for the 4 door anyway. They are Prostitch in NSW PH (02) 9547 3424. They will also sell you the period correct vinyl for you to trim them yourself. I bought the XB/ XC style and is a good match. The trims were about $70 a pair for the backing boards- correct material and thickness and with accurate and clean cut outs for door handles etc. I will be seeing a mate soon who has a panelvan for sale, will check with him if he has some trims. Len

Mk2 panel van doors are essentially mk1 coupe doors with the mk2 release mechanism on the inside, so the door cards are unique I'd say.

Yes, that's true. Checked with my mate, he has a spare set of doors for the van but wont sell them. Also has a huge collection of mark 1 and mark2 sedan parts- motors gearboxes, diffs ,springs, front struts, steering racks, 13" wheels, particularly 2 sets of steel rims with alloy centres, chrome mark 1 bumpers and over riders. interior trim etc. If he could find someone to make a reasonable offer as a lot he would load up his truck and deliver the stuff to them. he was so pissed off with people messing him about trying to get stuff for free or making silly offers he ended up sending a complete 4door RS to the scrap man!

I know how he feels. What is it with people these days, offer something for a dollar and people want it for 50c.
Back when I was peddling parts, people did their research, knew what things were worth and paid a fair price. That way you had respect for each other and no one walked away feeling cheated. I got so much repeat business this way and had access to really good stuff with a single phone call.
Now days, everyone is out to screw you down on price and then on sell it rather than help people out. I gave a complete exhaust to someone to get them thru a RWC and the next week I saw it on ebay for $100! F@#k me! Profiteering from charity....utter scum.
I know of an RS 2dr crushed earlier this year due to same sort of idiots.
