EGO couriers- Missing/ stolen goods

Hi guys. 6 weeks ago I had something very unfortunate happen through Ego couriers. They lost my 1600 pinto cylinder head. I traded a 2L ported big valve head for it so the replacement cost is substantial. The head was dropped at Powers transport in East Bendigo and went missing from there. Powers admit they received it, then claim to have on-forwarded to Melbourne. It wasn't scanned in so no tracking. It took 3 weeks of effort to get help from Ego. This was achieved by making many phone calls (no response to emails) and not putting up with the apathetic bullsh!t we are all so used to nowadays. So I have a Qld rep who has been great and she keeps me up to date with it all. I don't have any expectations of getting it back. This could happen to anybody. This one stuff up has cost a hell of a lot more than what I would have saved by using their services vs Aust post. My feeling is that it was stolen. They are slowly checking CCTV footage as a last resort. I'll update the thread if anything changes.

This is what it looks like. I would appreciate it if the CFF community could keep this in the back of their minds and let me know if it pops up for sale anywhere. There are not many 1600 pinto heads around

i had something like this happen with ego also, took a 3months of phone calls almost daily, constantly getting bounced around then one day it just appeared!

Have used them since but with insurance and had no issue. Only reason i used them again was because of buyer request.

Thanks for the heads-up guys: they've shifted engines for me with no trouble even once, but your warning will make me get insurance............cheers

To be fair, they have awesome rates and I've used them for several years now without issue. The insurance is far too costly. But so is having your items go missing

Will keep our fingers crossed for the re-appearance of your stuff, I've used e-go almost exclusively for my parts dealings with forum members and no hassles. Hope you get a happy ending. Len

My brother lives in Esk and races Escorts so I have given him the heads up about keeping an ear to the ground. People are always telling him about small Ford stuff. Len
