Gaz strut top options

G'day all,
Looking for strut top options for use with a set of Gaz gold's. Using the solid top/ rose joint type at the moment but they seem very harsh on the road and give the odd knock over bigger bumps. Is there a rubber type mount you can use with these? or would a lower spring rate help? (currently at 180lb)
Cheers Drew...

180lb is good for fast road , that knocking is possibly the spherical rose joint in the towers. .. If from Rally Des or Burtons they wear quickly...a local better quality rose joint will fix the annoyance.

Ok thanks Marty, yeah its a burtons job and I have tracked it down to being the joint making the knocking, any suggestion on a source of a better joint? Still going to lower the rate of the springs, I'd thought about doing some trackdays and hillclimbs in it but now that its back on the road I'm happy just cruising it so aiming more for ride comfort now...

I guess if you take a rose joint to Gardener bearings or CBC etc they will have a good replacement. .. Even just pop it out and read the part number for referencing.

If you can get the part number or even pop the bearing out to get the measurements etc. I've found FK bearings and rod ends to be very good quality. May cost a bit more for some of them but well worth it.
Think i bought mine from Summit Racing in the US. But used my shipping forwarding address with a heap of other stuff.

I run these with 275lb springs and find them great with no knocking or carrying on at all.

    Are they assembled correctly...

As far as I know everythings in order... The rose joint is definitely the best loose in the mount... Haven't looked or thought about it in a while, bit over the car after building it, lol.
    Cheers Drew...
