Update for the Corty thread.
Its Back! and its going well, very well infact. Hotrodney (aka Dan) came round this arvo on a shiity wet Friday arvo. Its a bit wet over here in Adelaide, not the ideal setting for running in an engine, but the angle the corty was coming out of the round abouts was showing some good form.
Hopefully Dan can get on here once his computers fixed and update us all.

Hi Dan, As you know I love your car and am over the moon to know your moving in this direction. The sight and sound of a fully prepped Classic Adelaide Mk 1 Cortina is a beautiful thing. Good decision! Now if your going to head in that direction.....as you will soon find out the Classic management are sticklers for vehicles being techincally and period 'correct'. Sooooooo maybe some of the hero Mk 1 Cortina's from the past could be your way forward in the future! I refer to the cars that created the Mk 1 Lotus cult.....cars you could draw on for inspiration and possibly replica one! I have for a long time wanted to replica an EX-Works Mk 1 Cortina Lotus....and utilise our great no. plates to truly seal the deal! Here's a couple for consideration; Colin Chapman's factory machine; Sir John Whitmore's beast - Alan Mann style mMMMMMMMMM[^] Mate I am stoked your evolving your Mk 1....please keep me in the loop......I smell a ride along feature article for Classic Ford!!!! Yeah nice one Dan.......I'm not usually a 'one-upmanship' sort of a guy....but I see you rendering and raise you a few seconds earlier in the same corner! Numberplate is the same, and is one of the many Mk 1 Cortina EX-Works fleet guys like Jim and Sir John belted the living stuffing out of around the tracks in the UK in the 60's. Good news is that your 'picture' car is still alive.....and looking gooooood! Only the number on the car is wrong! Well done on this style though! Commit too it and you will become an overnight legend in Mk 1 Cortina circles!!!!!!!! RJ
