That may mean they only sell the large top mounts and yu need to drill holes to suit large tops. Check with other sites (Motorsport Tools, PLR , West Wales rally spares ,Comp Brake etc) for the right size tops your after.
I bought a set of adj top mounts from USA for a project and required a slight redrill of holes. .. They were designed for BMW tho !

Cheers marty, they all seem to be saying the same, upto 1977 is fine and after innerwing needs to be modified, did you have to re drill your strut mounting holes??

    No probs mate !
Yeah since the towers are of '76 vintage they are the large ones (as mk1) , i needed to Weld a 4mm donut in place and plug the old holes up.. linnish all smooth and accurately mark out the new bmw patten ,redrill them. As these tops are the full adj type i Thort the effort was worth it ..
If you've got small towers these bmw could work with just a couple of holes drilled .
