Green eskie take two!

Hey guys, as some of you may know a year ago my green mk2 got written off.... Anyways long story short, the plan was to stay away from building another car for a while, but then a couple months the ol escort bug bit hard! So luckily Colin with the lime green escort panelvan, gave me a deal on a more door mk2 I couldn't say no to! It's a factory pinto 4speed car! Plans are to do something similar to my old beast, but hopefully make a lot better quality! Here's some pictures of it when I got it and what I've done so far.

I got a mig welder to help me so I'm not too bothered by the rust! It's all gonna be a learning curve and I can't wait! Plus it's handy having a sheet metal worker as your pa to help me along the way!

    Great stuff Bryce,

Is anything salvageable off the old green one?  Diff etc...

    Cheers

G'day Matt, old green one went to auction, I wouldn't of wanted to have that! Too much of a burden and bad memories, the car was a banana anyways, and a lot of it was rooted, front suspension was smashed up, the diff centre possible would of been good though, but the 15000 it was insured for was more valueble then a diff!

Good luck with the 'take two' project. I've got a lot of respect for anyone preparing for a learning curve. I hadn't touched a welder until I did the RS and now I actually miss hot metal falling in my boots and the smell of burning hair
Second time work a charm, keep the pics coming
    Cheers Drew....
