Why were the srtuts too long?  Did you get the rally ones or tarmac ones?  I went with the Gaz Gold's as a complete unit.

Car is looking great and shouldn't be too long now.

Cheers

Matt

I haven't bought the inserts yet matt I have cleaned up the original 2 ltr ones wanted to go the coilovers but thought because I need to get it engineered and coilovers are not road legal in Adelaide was just going to get the gaz inserts for the 2ltr struts, but doesn't have to be gaz quite happy to get koni's or bilstien inserts for them, just wondering which ones to use. The Escort front suspension is basically a "coil over" arrangement anyhow. According to my engineer adjustable platforms are permitted as long as you have adequate bump stop travel and ground clearance.

Cheers

Hi Matt did the same with the GAZ Gold but they sent the wrong ones from the UK cost me $500 in shipping to change them over so when with the new Capri struts with bilstein inserts. The new set up was more for rallying so not the height I was looking for, hard to explain to the UK shop just not a great appearance with this item and out of pocket so $4k to final get it right. But saying that all the other parts for the Zetec conversion and rear suspension set-up was spot on. Always a few problem with a complete rebuild. Still waiting on a quote from Fourd for the Zetec 220hp engine boy I want this finished by xmas that will have been 2 years in the works.

Paul in Qld it's not required to put on a mod plate. Fulcrum suspension in Stafford has the statement from dpt of Transport. I see your latter comment, looks like the same rules there :)

Good morning, Slowly but surely it's getting completed, Have finished the final sand and it was a wonderful feeling looking at the boot after the final polish and wax was applied just wish the sun had come out.

A few set backs once again, the strut tops I ordered are for the small struts I have the large so they don't fit (soooo close its anoying)  luckily they come apart so should be able to find someone to mill, laser cut some alloy circles the same just a bit bigger
