Mk2 struts/steering to Mk1

Hi, I have a Mk1 with worn steering and weak struts. I have Mk2 steering and struts in better condition so what is involved in the change over? The Mk2 calipers are 4 spot, may-be Volvo?

    Further, is the Mk1 Steering column interchangeable with a Mk2 column (aside from steering wheel end being different spline/thread)?
