Thanks for your comments, guys.  The air intake was put in the car while it was being built, with the idea of having a sealed airbox.  However when it came time to do it I found that room was a bit of a problem and didn't think the carbs would get enough air so made a 3 sided shroud.  The socks were added so the carbs didn't suck up dust etc coming up into the engine bay off the road while still getting fed cooler air into the shroud from the intake at the front. All the mods I have done are directed at cooling- vents in the bonnet, opening up the bars in the grill, triple core radiator etc to try and combat the intense heat and humidity of the northern tropics!  Len

I picked this up the other day (came free with some carbs) and obviously it won't fit as is but I could cut it to fit.

Hi Matt,

Neat looking piece of kit - possibly a " through the bonnet" set up for IDF webers. Maybe feed some cold air in from the front through the radiator panel.

Yeah, Pretty sure it is off some sort of formula ford derivative.  Should make a good base to make something up even if I just keep the base plate.
