Turbo mk2 van

Well I wasn't happy with a lot of things so I did most of it again moved the engine back, fitted intercooler, rebuilt diff changed the horrible strut top mounts and many many more things so here is a couple of photos to show you were I'm at and a nice battle wound haha

Il explain everything I've done over the last 4 months when it's not so late but hopefully this gets some interest from everyone and keeps me cracking on to finish it. It's been a while since I've been on here, good to be back!!!

Welcome back mate, vans looking good. Looks like you go some good space to work on it.
Were the standard strut tops hiding under the old ones or did you have to weld in complete new sections?

went and seen the van today, i have always loves the stance and black under white look of this thing....
it definitely is one tough looking van....

i remember when i 1st seen it and it looked like this

as for your pinto comments, you sure you wouldn't rather this? hahaha

as discussed heres some pics of the cooler and radiator in black too help you decide what colour too do it.

your car ultimately your decision, but i think the black will help it be more of a sleeper, and rub salt in the wounds of all the more expensive cars you beat at the lights

    Cheers Glenn

Hmmmm i do like the black I think il have to come look at it in person to really get the look. I like how perfectly flat your bumpers sit mine hate fitting

It's hard to believe the car was in that bad a shape compared to what it looks like know.

No pintos for me I'm a twin cam fan hahaha

How she sits can't decide to paint the alloy radiator or cooler. What do people think?

my vote would have to be for all black, and black silicon piping,
also not sure why u guys coolers are much smaller than mine, thought mine was too small.

Hey mate good to meet you today, van is looking good and not long before its back in action.
On a mk2 I personally like grille and everything behind the grille black. Having said that its your car and it really depends whether you want the cooler/piping noticeable or more of a stealthy look.
I vote black for look and stealth.
    Cheers

i found the size of the cooler was not so much a horsepower issue as much as it was a air temp issue, even with my sized cooler i still have some slight air temp issues when doing continuous high rpm on boost driving or short hard pulls, ( was a problem on the warm days when my car was tuned) still not enough of an issue to cause any problems just not ideal, and something for you to keep an eye out for.

Not sure what your trying to say here???
'not so much a horsepower issue as much as it was a air temp issue'
'still not enough of an issue to cause any problems'

High air intake temps WILL lead to less horsepower on any engine. having said that what sort of issues are you actually having, how high are your air temps getting??

    cheers
