I'll be interested to hear how they compare to the standard M16s, as I've been considering doing the same.

I thought i would give a run down on installation of hi-spec calipers (m16 billet) and 247mm x 20m rotors. escort rs2000 mk2 struts. I got told i would have to machine the hub about 3mm.

I have worked out 4mm , and a spacer between the caliper mount. this gave me 2.5mm on each side of the caliper to rotor. lets hope its right will be machining this week and assembly on the week end.

we fitted to Kierans MK2, Hi spec 4 pot calipers stright on to 2.8 injection billys with 2.8 hubs and std 2.8 disc. bolted stright up no problem, no spacers, runs an Alfa/Lotus/ prancing horse pad. stops much better than the VB/VL donnydoor calipers on my MK1.

I have taken 3mm off the hubs and rotors rub on the stone guards.(machinist said 3mm because it would be a bit thin going 4mm) can anyone help...I don't think an extra 1mm will fix it any way. what have other done. can I leave the stone guards off.

hi guys went to fit calipers this week end and, I got the stones guards bent and cut into shaped so they don't touch. Fitted 2 x 12mm flat washers to space out caliper bolted up to about .7mm out on one side.(close enough).Went to fit the brake line to the caliper and the thread is the same but wouldn't seal up. Research found out banjo fitting is required for the hi spec caliper, went to 3 auto shops and no luck on the week end. Now looking into either using the old metal line and adaptors, or a new line. I will have a look around Monday at work. A recommendations please.
