You should be able to do better than those prices.

i must admit i was surprised at the cost of those higher count LED's, however i did look around (admittedly for all of about 8 minutes), and found them a fair bit cheaper.....

Will see how they go.

so just a bit of an update to this thread. I ordered a few different types on LED's and tried them all. The best ones were these ones.....

I bought them off ebay for a few dollars each.

But having said all of that, in what appears to be true escort form, even with these quite large bright LED's even though the cluster is A LOT better, its still not a patch on anything modern. So, i also bought a few blue 12 LED panels (as suggested by another forum member for the interior courtesy light), and am going to try and play around a little bit with the positions inside the cluster to see if i can throw better light around.

I also read somwhere that someone put aluminium foil inside the cluster to try and reflect more light around, i might try that too. It doesnt appear to be a matter of not enough light. It moreso appears to be a matter of the light just not being able to make it around the front of the dials.....

Anyway, hope this helps someone!.

Dave

Hmmm agreed - the white LED's look very good. And a lot more light.

What LED's did you use RS 2000?
