Box Of Escort Stuff and I'm not sure what a lot of it is.

Hi Guys,

My cousing gave me a box or escort stuff and I am not sure if any of it is useful.

First up is a cast iron genuine ford water pump.  It has a hole in the side but my cousin said that it is easily repairable and these pumps are much better than the crap cheap ones they make these days.  Apparently you can replace the bearings in this one???  I'm not sure?

Few pics,

Cheers,

Matt

The distributor COULD be V4 Transit or the very early pinto as the rotor is the same as V6 capri but does a few other distributors

Capri The car I always promised myself

Best thing about those old cast iron water pumps is the type of impeller with the flat disc on the back. Less cavitation in high revving engines

    Make it go FASTER!

No don't bother you can buy new pums direct from Burtons with that style of impellor.
Also the hole is surposed to be there as it's the drain hole for coolant that gets past the seal showing you that the pumps on the way out
