Hi everyone. Well, it's nearly here. Next Sunday [4th November] is the big day for Hunter British Ford Group's first ever Small Ford Show n Shine. Some of the latest developments are... Mick Saide from Shannons Insurance will now be joining us with the Shannons stand. The Star Newspaper will be running a small article about the event to assist us promoting it, and I'm hopeful the Newcastle Herald can do a feature of some sort re the event also in next Saturday's paper. Raffle prizes are valued at $1400, being drawn on the day. Owner of Lost in the 50's, Glen Jennings has gone all out to help us make this day as successful as possible. We have had a good response since the last email update, but still need more cars to make ths event a great showcase for the club, Lost in the 50's and raise as much funding as possible for the Thredbo to Manly Bike ride fundraiser that Loryn and I are doing. Cars for display so far coming from :- Ian Wilson Dave Fotheringham Owen Shield Peter Lynch Andy Kowalski Alison Barrett Dave Williamson Matt Smith Danny Smith Robert Ramsey Mark Tidbury Norm Page Carolynne Jones Brett Watters Phil Bromley [ 2 cars] Cortina Anglia Prefect Club Robert Cork John Pogson If anyone else can bring their car along it would be greatly appreciated. [Doesn't have to be concourse, this is a show n shine day and all cars are welcome, including Danny's 'ol Rusty!!!] Please let me know if you can come too :) Museum is opening at 9.30am, so our cars need to be in place by 9.00am. Spread the word about the event, we're hoping to draw good crowd numbers, this will be a good fun day for all the family. As previously mentioned gold coin donation to our show n shine area, [cars and public spectators] and optional $15 entry to the museum, of which part proceeds will be donated to our cause and same with Old mates food van. $15 ENTRY TO THE MUSEUM WILL BE THE BEST $15 YOU WILL HAVE SPENT!!!!! Raffle prizes drawn 1.30 - 2.00pm. A big thank you to all who can come so far, and to Glen Jennings and to Mick Saide from Shannons Insurance for making this event possible. Thanks also to everyone who has made a personal donation to Loryn and I on our online fundraising page www.everydayhero.com.au/the_road_runners_0 or in person. Turn into Cameron Park Drive, either from the Newcastle Link Rd or George Booth Drive, and enter by Farragher Way or Stenhouse Dve. Previous email below....
