C - UK origin (design)
K - built in Sydney
3P - 2 Dr Escort 2.0 litre
W - 1979
T - August
This makes it an ADR27A engine, so lots of emissions hoses etc. required.

Hi Flighter can you share all the id codes?
I have a few engines I'd like to find out more on.
Thanks,

I recognised that it was from a 2 door 2 litre Escort from the first few characters, so I just searched for the year and month identifier, which led me here:
http://www.fomoco.com.au/ID.html
I haven't tried it, but there's a Windows program available that promises to make it easy to decipher all manner of Fords:
