Hi mate,

I am the original OP for this thread and I am very interested and it would be great to have your guidance throughout the build. Did you buy a half cut or just an engine?

Hey Stewart

I purchased a supra engine package with engine, loom, ecu and gearbox. You could use an aristo motor though they are front sump and having the engine as far back as I do I needed rear sump. You can get an aristo motor and put a supra sump on it but they also have a ****ty water pump setup too so you would probably also want to fit a supra water pump aswell. Front cut is not really needed unless you can get one for a good price because things like radiator and all that stuff is far too big to fit the escorts. I am using the standard escort crossmember and fabricated mounts to suit. You will need a pedal box or a master cylinder straight on the firewall but if you match the master cylinder to the brake setup you Wont need a booster as mentioned previously. I am running a nissan gtir clutch master cylinder under the dash with a remote resivour out in the bay. If you are going non turbo motor then you will only really need like a w55 or w58 wich will be up to about $800 instead of around $1500 for the r154 or $2500 for the v160/161 getrag box. I'll log back on here every now and then but if you have any questions I dont mind giving some advice whether you take it or leave it.
I have also owned a 4 door mk2 rs2000 making 153rwhp from the pinto, another rs2000 and a 4 door ghia 2ltr. I do love the escorts :)

Thanks
Chris.

Hi Chris,

This information that you are providing gives me insight into the project. I will want to ask you more questions as time progresses.

Cheers
