almost ready for run in/tune. where should i get it done?
hello lads. in the next month i should be ready to fire up this for the first time i got recommended a mob to do the tuning by the bloke who did my head work. but since then he has told me a story about a engine he built for a customer that this mob apparently seized on the dyno due to not following specific instructions. ( long story) anyway im a bit weary of these guys now, so i wanna know where other people have gone and who they recommend in adelaide to run in/ tune my engine. i know it would have been ideal to get it run in on a engine dyno but time/money restraints didnt allow that cheers guys

Mike dale is the man that everyone recommends. I took mine to a place in Kent town called Kent town autotune. The guy was a finiky old bloke but knew what he was doing. dont go there if you want a fancy power printout though cos his dyno is old school. Had no real problems with mine though. Gazz

I believe Mike Dale has access to a dyno if he needs it.

I'd recomend Mike Dale too. He does have access to a dyno and when i got my car tuned last year i got a dyno printout with power, torque and air fuel ratio. Very happy with the result! Ryan

As people have mentioned... I dont have a dyno in house. However , I have full access to 5 dynos in Adelaide ( North and South ). I have been working in the tuning game for 25 years and handle it all from carbies to reflashing late model cars via laptop. I'm old enough to have cut my teeth on Webers and Holleys ! Essentially, I went out on my own in business 3 years ago, and although I would love to own a dyno, its a little hard to justify the cost when I am so welcome at other dynos. Cheers for the referrals... I always try my best, and you can count on my 25 years of top level motorsport experience to get the best from your setup. I dont advertise, and word of mouth keeps me VERY busy . Many may remember me as the one who built, tuned and co drove the Andrew Cavalli BDA Escort that dominated the classic tarmac rallies some years ago ( 3 Classic Adelaide outright wins). I still love my small Fords, particularly the Mk1's. Cheers Mike
